Privacy Policy

Last updated August 30, 2026

FrickenFútbol is a private scheduling and chat tool for one family, built and run by that family. It isn't a public product, doesn't run ads, and doesn't sell or share data with anyone. This page explains what the app stores and why.

Who can use it

Access is invite-only. A family owner invites people by email, and only invited members can sign in and see that family's data. There's no public sign-up.

What we collect

  • Your email address, and a password (stored as a one-way hash, never in plain text) if you sign in that way instead of with Google.
  • Your name and profile photo, if you sign in with Google — Google shares these when you authorize the app.
  • Any display name a family owner sets for you, shown in chat and notifications.
  • Game and practice schedules, pulled from the iCal calendar link(s) a family owner provides for each child — typically exported from a team app like TeamSnap.
  • Attendance choices, live score updates, and chat messages sent within your family's private chat.
  • A push notification subscription (a device identifier and encryption keys, from your browser) if you enable notifications — used only to deliver alerts to that device.

The children whose schedules appear in the app don't have accounts of their own — a parent or guardian who does have an account manages that information.

Who can see it

Only members of your own family, as added by your family's owner. Nothing is visible to other families or to the public.

Services we use to run the app

  • Google — optional sign-in.
  • Vercel — hosts the application.
  • Turso — hosts the database.
  • Resend — sends account emails (invites, email verification, password reset).
  • Your team's calendar provider (e.g. TeamSnap) — the source of the schedule data you link.

Each handles the data needed to provide its part of the service, under its own privacy policy.

How long we keep things

Chat messages are automatically deleted after 90 days. Schedule, account, and family data is kept for as long as your account exists. A family owner can remove a member at any time, which revokes their access immediately.

Questions

If you have questions about your data, contact the owner of your family's account, or reach out through the email address you were invited from.
